65th SAMS Congress06-08 December 2022 Stellenbosch University
Oral and poster instructions for presenting authors at the conference
Oral presentations
Presentations will be 25 (20+5) minutes. The conference program is full, so presenters are requested to present in a timeously manner. The five minutes allows for questions, the rotation of speakers, and the movement of delegates between venues. Session chairs will be requested to stick strictly to these limits.
Venues will be equipped with an electronic data projector, a desktop computer, and a microphone. All speakers are requested to have their presentations available on a USB memory stick (PDF format strongly encouraged). If you absolutely need to present from your own laptop, we will try to accommodate this.
All presenters are required to upload their talks to the computer in the appropriate venue during or before the morning coffee break on the day of their presentation. (Speakers in the pre morning coffee slots should upload before the morning plenary.)
All presenters are requested to present themselves 10 minutes prior to their session at the relevant room to introduce themselves to the session chair and to familiarize themselves with the audio-visual equipment.
Please consult the technician in the venue you are presenting if you require assistance.
Poster presentations
Presenters are requested to place their posters on the poster panels during or before the lunch break on Tues 05 Dec.
Presenters are required to be available at their poster to discuss their poster during the poster session (Tues, 5PM-7PM).
Conference runners will assist you to place the posters on the panels.
All posters must be removed at the end of the conference on Thurs 08 Dec. The organizers will take no responsibility for posters that remain up after their allotted time.
